WD WARHAWK BFT LICENSE
Version 1.0, October 2026
Copyright (c) 2026 Warhawk Division. All rights reserved.
This license covers the Arma Reforger mod WD Warhawk BFT, also called Blue Force Tracker (Workshop name WD Warhawk BFT), including its map markers, compass, friendly tags, mini map, reports, its pages for the WD Core tablet TALON, its scripts, configuration files, layouts, images, documentation and any future updates published under this license (together, the "Mod"). "Warhawk Division", "we" and "us" mean the Warhawk Division gaming community that publishes the Mod. "You" means anyone who downloads, installs, hosts or uses it.
1. WHAT YOU MAY DO
- Play and host. You may download, install and load the Mod, and run it on any game server, public or private. Arma Reforger downloads the Mod automatically when you join a server that runs it, and that is permitted.
- Listing the Mod in a server's mod list, so that Arma Reforger downloads it from the Workshop, is not redistribution and is permitted.
- Bohemia Interactive may host, distribute and display the Mod on the Arma Reforger Workshop. Nothing in this license limits any right Bohemia Interactive has under the Arma Reforger End User License Agreement, the Arma Reforger Tools End User License Agreement or the Arma Reforger Workshop Terms of Use.
Everything not listed in this section is reserved by Warhawk Division.
2. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO
Unless Warhawk Division gives you written permission first, you may not:
- Copy, modify, adapt, translate, decompile, or extract the Mod's scripts or other files, or create derivative works from it.
- Re-upload, mirror, repack or redistribute the Mod, in whole or in part, including inside mod packs, other mods, or as a dependency of another mod.
- Use the Mod, or anything made from it, commercially, or monetize it directly or indirectly. This includes charging for access to the Mod or its features, putting them behind paid perks, selling it, or using it to promote a paid product or service.
- Use the Mod, or any part of it, outside games and products made by Bohemia Interactive.
- Use the Mod for anything other than entertainment and recreation, for example for real-world military, professional, occupational or educational training.
- Use the names Warhawk Division or WD Warhawk BFT, or the Warhawk Division crest, in a way that suggests your mod or server is made, run or endorsed by Warhawk Division.
- Remove or change this license or any copyright notice in the Mod.
3. DATA THE MOD RECORDS
- On your computer. The Mod saves your settings (mini map, friendly tags, compass, map marker size, casualty panel and lase line time) in the file WD_BFT_Settings.txt in your Arma Reforger profile folder. Older versions of the Mod also kept your night settings in that file, and WD Core reads them from it once to keep your earlier choices. An old file named WD_BFT_TagRange.txt is read once for the same reason. These files stay on your computer.
- On the server. The Mod reads and writes the file WD_BFT_Server.txt in the server's profile folder. It holds the server's limits (mini map on or off, friendly tags on or off, longest tag range, longest map range and the long-range map on or off). It is written with default values if it is missing, and it holds no player information. An administrator or Game Master can change it in game with /bft set, or re-read it with /bft reload. The server checks that the person is an administrator or Game Master each time, and /bft set rewrites the whole file.
- Positions of your own side. When the server allows the long-range map, the server sends each player, about every 10 seconds, the positions of the living players on that player's own side only: a player number, map position, heading, a class icon and whether the player is downed. The Mod never sends the positions of the other side to anyone. Your computer uses this to draw your side on the map, and keeps only the latest list in memory, which is dropped after 30 seconds without an update. It is not saved. The friendly markers, tags, mini map and compass use only players on your own side and your own position. Names shown are the in-game names the game already gives your computer.
- Reports you send. Lase and CONTACT show you the range, bearing and grid of what you look at. If you press the key a second time, the Mod places a map marker with the text CONTACT at that point, through the game's own marker system, so your side sees it as it sees any marker you place. POSITION REPORT sends a chat line such as "MY POS 0381 1207 | HDG 247" to your squad's chat channel, only when you press the key or button. The game and the server handle those markers and chat lines as usual, including any logging they do.
- Server log. When an administrator or Game Master uses /bft set or /bft reload, the Mod writes a line to the game server's log with the player number, the command, the setting name and the value. When someone else tries those commands, it writes a line with their player number saying the command was refused. If the server cannot save WD_BFT_Server.txt, it writes a warning. The Mod writes no other player information to the log.
- Nothing else. The Mod sends nothing off the server, not to Warhawk Division or anyone else. It does not record IP addresses, voice, Bohemia account identity IDs, or anything else from your computer, and it records no chat other than the lines described above.
4. BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE
The Mod is published on the Arma Reforger Workshop and must be used in line with the Arma Reforger End User License Agreement, the Arma Reforger Tools End User License Agreement and the Workshop Terms of Use. If anything in this license conflicts with those documents, they prevail. This license grants no rights in Bohemia Interactive's games, tools or content. Bohemia Interactive is not a party to this license and is not responsible for the Mod.
5. OTHER MODS
The Mod needs WD Core, the Warhawk Division mod that holds the TALON tablet, and adds pages to TALON. The Workshop downloads WD Core together with the Mod. WD Core is covered by its own license, and this license grants no rights in it. The Mod contains none of WD Core's files.
6. ASKING FOR PERMISSION
To ask about any use not allowed above, contact Warhawk Division staff through the Warhawk Division Discord server (discord.gg/warhawk). Permission only counts if it is given in writing by Warhawk Division staff.
7. ENDING THIS LICENSE
This license ends automatically, without notice, if you break any of its terms. When it ends you must stop using the Mod and delete any copies you made.
8. NO WARRANTY
The Mod is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Warhawk Division is a volunteer hobby community. To the fullest extent the law allows, Warhawk Division and its members are not liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from the Mod or its use, including loss of game progress, characters, equipment, vehicles, data, or server performance.
9. FUTURE VERSIONS
Warhawk Division may publish future versions of the Mod under a different license, including a more open one such as the Arma Public License Share Alike (APL-SA). Each version is covered by the license it was published with.
10. GOVERNING LAW
This license is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, matching the Warhawk Division website's Terms of Use.
This license was drafted for a hobby community and has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
