The set follows the awards the U.S. Army gives for meeting a standard: qualification badges, a good conduct medal, campaign medals, and service ribbons. Each entry says which one it is modeled on. The names are our own and the ribbons are drawn for this site, some in the colors of the award they follow. This is a game: none of it is a real decoration. A member's awards show on their profile, to members of the unit.

Kills, deaths, and distances come from our game servers and count once your game account is linked in Settings.
Being at an operation means a game server saw your linked game account there: joining, a kill, or a death, from 60 minutes before the start to 30 minutes after the end. An answer of Going is not needed, and is not enough by itself. Where the servers recorded nobody at an operation, a Going answer counts in its place.
